At Digital Frontier we provide consultation and planning for specific needs for motion capture. The following is the overall workflow.

   Survey and Planning

   After consultation, we plan our schedule for motion capture.

2. 02

   Meeting and Estimate

   Based on the storyboard and scene listing, our producer and technical director create schedule until final delivery. After we agree on our schedule we create an estimate.

3. 03

   Casting

   We have actors for actions for battle, sports, dance and more. We also hold auditions upon request.

   
4. 04

   Props

   We provide wide range of props including wires for action scenes as well as smaller props to hold during battle.

5. 05

   Filming Schedule

   We then create schedule that includes actors, technical work, and art sets.

   
6. 06

   Recording

   We convert data to the format requested. We also composite scenes and or edit animation data upon request.

7. 07

   Data Cleaning

   Data noise is removed.

We have two different delivery formats: Character Data and Actor Data.
Please be aware that depending on your delivery format the following steps will differ.

   Data Editing

   Character Data Delivery

   

   We will edit motion data to fit character’s body.

   *We ask our customers to prepare character data in advance.

   *If you require loop or motion blend, please ask any of our staff.

   Actor Data Delivery

   

   We will prepare actor’s motion data recorded at our studio.

   *For Actor Data Delivery we will not apply the motions to CG character.
